Walk and Talk: Wildlife Tracking with Ben Wymer
Where: GPC's Newberry Woods Community Forest (Silverdale, Washington). Directions to this preserve will be provided via email after completing registration. Please RSVP!
What: Join us on Saturday, April 29th from 9-12pm at Newberry Woods Community Forest for a Walk and Talk featuring GPC Stewardship Associate Ben Wymer. When he isn't out in the woods monitoring properties on behalf of GPC, Ben is a wildlife photographer and naturalist with plenty of experience identifying wildlife track and sign. You can check out Ben's phenomenal photography on his business page here: A Woods Walk Photography LLC. In this special GPC Walk and Talk, we will learn and discuss the methods of observing and documenting wildlife track and sign, as well as talk about the ecology of mammals around the Puget Sound. Participants are encouraged to bring a notebook, writing instrument, and a ruler. We will need to do some walking to find and see tracks and signs, so expect to walk about 2-3 miles. Save your spot! Sign up today!
