Join Great Peninsula Conservancy (GPC) for our continuing Walk and Talk series along Clear Creek’s Urban Trail on Saturday, August 24th from 12pm – 2pm!
We'll be meeting at Schold Road Trailhead along the Clear Creek Trail with Gabriel Newton, GPC's Community Engagement Coordinator as he *walks* you through (Ha! Get it?) a cultural and environmental history of Clear Creek.
Want to learn about the Suquamish history of the area? Or the current management GPC has with other organizations to help keep this beautiful creek clear? Perhaps you want to learn more about the diversity of habitats that Clear Creek's urban trail has to offer?
Maybe you're interested in learning about some simple, easy to use, free tools to engage with nature in a more interactive meaningful way.
WELLLLLL, this W&T is for you!!!!!!
This 1-mile loop Walk and Talk will highlight outdoor nature-based themes that intersect with the Clear Creek trail and what this space has to offer our community. In turn, GPC hopes to highlight what our community has given back to Clear Creek up until now and into the future!
Accessibility: Please come prepared to walk approximately 1 mile. This event may involve getting up close and personal with a variety of plants or animals. If you have known allergies to certain plans, insects or pollen, please use your best judgment about deciding if and how you will participate in the event. As always, coming prepared for outdoor activities means coming prepared with any emergency medications you may require.
For more information reach out to Gabriel Newton, GPC's community engagement coordinator, at gabriel@greatpeninsula.org.
