Walk & Talk: Kids Day
In the winter of 2022, volunteers from all areas of the Puget trough joined us in a massive effort to reforest the shorelines of the Union River Estuary with 5,000 native trees and shrubs. In June 2023, volunteers came back and removed invasive blackberry and Scotch broom to help the saplings make it to the finish line!
Now, we invite everyone to our family friendly Walk & Talk event to come out to do some exploring and learn about conservation!
What: Celebration and exploration of conservation efforts with various activities led by educators
When: Saturday, July 29 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am
Where: Klingel-Bryan-Beard-Wildlife Refuge in Belfair – additional parking information and directions will be sent in an email when your sign-up is confirmed. Please RSVP!
Accessibility: There are no trails at Klingel-Bryan-Beard Wildlife Refuge so come prepared to walk on uneven terrain. Most activities will occur on a grass lawn.
