Walk and Talk - Orca Recovery Day Birding Tour

We’ve added a BONUS EVENT to our Orca Recovery Day 2022 work party at the Klingel-Bryan-Beard Wildlife Refuge. Join us on Saturday, October 15th from 9-10am to celebrate the restoration of an incredible saltwater marsh preserve and the annual migration of shorebirds that find safe harbor there. This special BONUS Walk and Talk event will be led by Great Peninsula Conservancy Stewardship Manager Adrian Wolf who has extensive experience as a field ornithologist. Come for the bird tour at 9 am and consider staying for the Orca Recovery Day stewardship event that follows! Sign up for that event separately here.

Details:

The walk will be ~1/2 mile
The terrain is mostly flat and even
Dress for the weather
Bring your binoculars, field guides, and 2022 birding lists!
