Ivy removal at Lay Wildrose Preserve
Sprawling across forest and estuary ecosystems, Lay Wildrose Preserve offers habitat to the elegant and scrumptious native roses that were historically abundant in the Rosedale community. Native Nootka and cluster roses provide delicious forage to the smallest bees and largest bears through their pollen packed flowers and in the tart rose hips produced in the fall. At our next monthly work party, Great Peninsula Conservancy invites you to join us for a morning among the trees to manage the ivy patch that is taking over plant habitat in the preserve.
