Celebrating Monthly Work Parties
Since May, GPC has been hosting monthly work parties across our working region. The goal is to tackle stewardship tasks while engaging local community members. Visit the GPC blog to hear more from GPC's fabulous Americorps VISTA member, Beatrice Lincke, who has been coordinating these efforts.
Join the Community Forest
GPC is forming a Community Forest Advisory Team (CFAT) to provide input, and advice, on the various activities and management decisions for Newberry Woods Community Forest (NWCF). Working with GPC staff and committee members, the CFAT will bring the voices of the community to the long-term management and use of NWCF.
Interested parties should support GPC's mission, have a connection to the local community, and be prepared to commit to monthly/yearly time requirements.
If this sounds like you, express interest below or email Micaela Petrini, Stewardship Associate, firstname.lastname@example.org. Interested individuals will receive an information packet that includes a position description and an application.
GPC plans to review applications in July/early August and anticipates holding the first meeting with Community Forest Advisory Team members in August 2023.
