Join GPC in celebrating our recent purchase of the Divide Community Forest, an ecologically valuable parcel of land that serves as the headwaters and corridor to the Grovers Creek and Gamble Creek watersheds. We’re excited to restore, maintain, and activate this 500-acre space as a community forest, and we’d love for you to join us in the early stages of that process! After the ribbon cutting, we'll walk through this new 467-acre property and explore the term ‘community forest’, learn about the history of land use, and understand the current forest health.
If you’re attending our three-part Community Forest Planning Meeting series, this is a great opportunity to see the land we’re discussing.
This is the third of three identical tours to visit the Divide Community Forest hosted on April 19, May 3, and May 17. Can’t make this date? Check out our events page to sign up for a different date.
Tour Details:
Tours will be held in person at the Divide Community Forest. Address and parking information will be provided to attendees via email after registration. Registration is required to attend.
