Join Great Peninsula Conservancy for a tour of the newly created Divide Community Forest! We’ll walk through this new 467-acre property and explore the term ‘community forest’, learn about the history of land use, and understand the current forest health.  

If you’re attending our three-part Community Forest Planning Meeting series, this is a great opportunity to see the land we’re discussing.   

This is the first of three identical tours to visit the Divide Community Forest hosted on April 19, May 3, and May 17. Can’t make this date? Check out our events page to sign up for a different date. 

Tour Details: 

Tours will be held in person at the Divide Community Forest. Address and parking information will be provided to attendees via email after registration. Registration is required to attend.  

• Weather: These forest tours will be held outdoors, rain or shine. All you will need to bring is yourself and whatever clothing you need to brave the elements!
• Terrain: This event will take place in a forested area along old logging roads. Terrain may be uneven in some areas, with potential tripping hazards.
• Distance: Expect to walk ~1.5 miles.
• Location: All three forest tours will be located at the Divide Community Forest. We will park at GPC’s Grovers Creek Preserve to access the property.
