Tree Planting Follow-Up at Klingel-Bryan-Beard Wildlife Refuge
In the winter of 2022, volunteers from all areas of the Puget trough joined us in a massive effort to reforest the shorelines of the Union River Estuary with 5,000 native trees and shrubs. It is 2023 and those trees and shrubs are still there! For our next monthly work party, we invite you back to Klingel-Bryan-Beard Wildlife Refuge for an opportunity to help your saplings make it to the finish line! Together, we will be removing invasive blackberry and Scotch broom that are encroaching on the planting areas.
Didn’t make it out last year? No problem! Join us in protecting growing space for this amazing project.
Details:
- What: remove blackberry and Scotch broom that is encroaching the planting areas
